Designing Management Processes for Performance

As is described earlier; Management process creation involves registering a process name and marking its begin and end parameters with the SISL Engine. A typical management process will have to go through two essential tasks to run correctly, the Initialization task and the Iterative task.

A PROCESS-CALL function is typically used to design and build a well behaved, resilient, and reliable management processes by creating a layered management structure.

When building management scripts however, special care and attention must be directed at two separate and inter-related management process performance metrics; the management process Polling-Frequency Delay and the management process host server’s Resource Allocation and Consumption.

More details on each metric are provided in the next sections:
  • Polling-Frequency Delay (Localization & Harvesting processes)
  • Host Server Resource Allocation and Consumption
